OVERVIEW – I am a creative strategic business consultant, management trainer, facilitator, expedition leader, festival  and event manager with over 25 years experience. Projects and events I am currently involved in can be found below and here.

PEOPLE – My experience includes strategic planning and implementation, being a key player in setting up a number of new start businesses that includes Stunt Challenge, Basecamp Festival, Journeys of Life, the Grand Pavilion, Garlands Corporate, Eventurous and most recently, Campfire Convention.

Extensive knowledge of designing training programmes to support strategic development with a wide variety of clients. Designing and delivering national training award winning management and leadership development programmes in the public and private sectors. I am people focused, development led and objective driven.

An excellent communicator and comfortable delivering to audiences of 6 to 600 delegates, whilst equally comfortable coaching in 1 to 1 sessions at all levels. Working at strategic level, I am keen to align training needs to organisational vision and then deliver exceptional training interventions that meet and exceed all learning objectives.

Recently working in partnership with Directors, HR Executives, Training and HR Managers, I have advised, designed and delivered many change programmes, management and leadership programmes in both the UK and Europe for global companies. An experienced Myers-Briggs Practitioner and Belbin Trainer, with an Exec Cert in Event Management & two NVQ Level 4’s in Training and Development, I have a strong background in personal, event and business development.

PLACES – I have developed, organised and led worldwide scientific and adventure expeditions for people of all ages, background and cultures for over 25 years. Linking global communities for adventure, personal development and a shared experience. Whether mountain, desert, ocean, rainforest, taiga, steppe or underground; whether by foot, camel, horse, vehicle, train, boat, wings or skis, I firmly believe in getting out there with like minded people. PLAY – I dedicate much of my spare time to promote live music locally and offer my services as an experienced business consultant, festival manager, sound and lighting engineer to a number of good causes for live music, performance and community development. PASSION – I offer my services to a number of local charities and global organisations who do good work for the community and the wider world. Currently working with Pete Lawrence in developing campfire convention, a new global social media platform that focuses on people and communities, I am on the steering group that helps guide and develop the organisation, its online presence and offline events. In 2012 I was made mayor of San Martin de Tepischa village in Peru, working with the cocama-cocamilla community to develop many local projects for the surrounding villages. I have linked with a ground breaking orphanage in Rwanda, helped develop educational projects that focus on conservation in Manu National Park in the upper Amazon and a day care centre in Mongolia. I have been a Trustee for a local Derbyshire cancer charity, Challenge Cancer Through Adventure and was a councillor on Bonsall Parish Council for four years to 2011. I am currently a Director of a charity committed to developing an arts and entertainment centre in the Peak District – ‘The Grand Pavilion’ – www.thegrandpavilion.co.uk
